Julie Andrade, CPCU
Responsibities: Planning and conducting the annual financial audit for the chapter and March meeting for Ethics Awareness Month.
Julie has worked at Allstate for 27 years in the Claims Department, including roles as adjuster and manager/leader of Personal Lines, Casualty and Litigation.
She is currently a Litigation Leader and her team handles auto injury lawsuits from across Texas. Julie received her CPCU designation in 2007 and has actively supported the Alamo Chapter in the past as an Ethics Chair, a Director and as Secretary of the board.
Mark Fisher, CPCU
Responsibilities: Establishes the framework functionality of the web site, ensuring that the appropriate board and committee members are able to post relevant articles and posts to the site. Provides technical support to the board to achieve digital goals.
Mark leads a team of auto physical damage re-inspectors. His team covers south and central parts of Texas. The team supports leaders in the market by performing quality reinspections of Staff and direct-repair shop estimates. Additional the team performs training, calibrations, and assist with coaching. Mark's additional duties includes analytical analysis and developing claim cost strategies.
Education Committee Chair
Susan Shoemake, CPCU
Responsibilities: Promotes the value of insurance technical education, including all CPCU and IIA programs. Coordinates prospect, student, and candidate messaging to ensure they are aware of upcoming local chapter events and facilitated insurance courses. Encourages students, candidate members, and new designees to attend meetings and become active members of the chapter.
Susan has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, joining McGriff, Seibels & Williams in 2001. She holds a Property & Casualty General Lines Agents license, specializing in Public Entity accounts and Owner Controlled Insurance programs. In addition to her leadership role in the San Antonio office, she is a past president and remains active with the Alamo Chapter CPCU.
Jessica Dawson, CPCU
Jessica is currently a Program Manager for the CFO portfolio. She joined USAA in May 2006 as an Associate P&C Underwriter in the San Antonio office as a college hire and has worked in Underwriting Operations, Product Adherence, and Program Management for external suppliers.
She received her B.B.A. with a double major degree in Corporate Finance and Risk Management from St. Mary's University as well as her M.B.A. from Capella University specializing in Finance. Jessica has earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Personal Insurance (API), and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Associate in Management (AIM), and Associate Risk Management (ARM) designations.
Kim Edson, CPCU
Responsibilities: Ensures membership awareness of upcoming events, including monthly luncheons, local conferment, community service events, and industry promotion events. Maintains the distribution lists for students, candidate members, and full members. Coordinates monthly luncheon agenda items are covered.

Bachelors of Business Administration from University of the Incarnate Word.
Talent & Diversity
Robert works as a Change Management Advisor in the Property and Casualty division at USAA. Previous to this role, he held various Manager positions within the Claims division. Along with being a CPCU since 1995, he also holds the SCLA and AIC designations. Robert is nearing completion of a graduate degree at UIW. As a CPCU, I am a national society member of the Diversity committee and serve as the Chair of the Diversity Committee on the Alamo CPCU chapter.
